It’s the weather that makes us love taking wedding photographs in Gran Canaria. While most photographers have to worry about rainy days and dark evenings we have the perfect conditions here in Gran Canaria.

We are Lex Thoonen and Alex Bramwell, a photography team based in Gran Canaria. The advantage of having two photographers on your big day is that you get two different visions of the most important moments of your day. Don’t worry though, we don’t charge double for our services.

Our photography style is informal and spontaneous: We aim to capture the memorable moments that everyone loves and remembers. We also know the single most important thing about wedding photography: Make sure the bride looks great.

We encourage all our couples to get outdoors and have some photos taken in the sunshine. A sunset shoot in the Maspalomas dunes or in one of the many secret spots we know about are guaranteed to make your wedding album unforgettable.

We also do “trash the dress shoots” and romantic honeymoon shoots, and have been known to hop over to the other Canary Islands for weddings.

We are available for photography assignments and shoots all over the Canary Islands. As long-term residents we know all the islands intimately and have a wide range of contacts and a large database of models on each island.

In 2012/2013 we visited all of the Canary Islands for an epic, 45-shoot assignment for the Canary Islands Tourist Board. We delivered almost 1000 quality photos which are now being used to promote the islands all over Europe. For a selection of these images, click here.

We shoot with pro-Canon equipment and L-Glass and have recently added Gopros and a helicopter to our equipment bag. We produce quality video as well as still images.

Recently we've covered carnivals, sports events, hiking holidays and even photographed Gran Canaria's impressive container port.

Our photos have been published in dozens of travel and lifestyle magazines and newspaper travel sections. Our latest credits include a surfing feature in the Air Berlin in-flight magazine, Lonely Planet guide books, the Guardian newspaper and the front cover of TTG travel magazine.
